Is a Virginia Tech Student Conduct suspension confidential?

After the notice of suspension is removed when you return to school, the suspension itself and the reasons therefor are completely confidential. No employer, graduate school, or anyone else will have access to it. Again, the notice of suspension is removed from your record, and Virginia Tech’s website says that the sanctions are completely confidential. Therefore, if the suspension is upheld, you can simply state that you needed to take a semester away from school for personal reasons, and then you returned to school.
